Scales at Waimanalo Gulch Landfill
Re-certified and Calibrated
Kapolei, Hawaii - June 27, 2007: Waste Management of Hawaii has announced Young Scales certified and calibrated the scales used to weigh vehicles coming into Waimanalo Gulch Landfill on Wednesday, June 25, 2007 at 5:30 p.m.
"I would like to thank the City Administration and everyone who worked together as a team in getting repairs to the scale completed," said Paul Burns, vice president and general manager for Waste Management of Hawaii.
Scott Miyashiro of Young Scale Co., LLC signed and turned over the "Placed-In Service Report" to Paul Burns, vice president and general manager of Waste Management of Hawaii. Mr. Miyashiro then placed the new certification sticker on the scale indicator, which is valid for one year.
Additionally, Waste Management of Hawaii has instructed Young Scale Co., LLC to conduct quarterly inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure the scales continue to operate.
